you'll have to be able to back up why you don't want to pay the full amount... if you're on social assistance, that will help...

let me know how it goes.

Thank You for Your suggestion, Monty !
Well, I am prettyy unliquid, as You say ....
Right now I am out of work after an accident at work, and currently I am on social assistance just trying to make ends meet.

Should I tell them that ? 40% sounds much better than full amount !

Thanks again!

you can negotiate the amount...
offer them 40% of the total...

Ultimately, collection agencies will settle if they know you are illiquid and can't afford to pay any more...

If you don't have the ability to pay then you can usually get away with less.

Do you have the ability to pay?

Settlement

Does anyone have an experience when dealing with D&A about cellphone companys debt. My question is , can I negotiate the amount owing, since the interest on original amount 2 years later is more than 300 % of the whole amount.

Or do I have to pay them whatever they are telling me?

thanks
