yeah...
These are a curiousity. A prepaid credit card. or secured credit card? I'm not sure what the difference is with prepaid credit cards and secured credit cards.. could some body explain that to me.?
re:what is a secured visa credit card
From what I've read here so far, you give $1000 cash deposit to get a $1000 credit card? Or you get a $1000 line of credit if you give this HomeTrust $1000 of your money.

Isn't that different from every credit card I've ever seen in my life? I've had credit cards since 1980 and have never seen one where I had to pay a company to get a credit card from them!!

I'm curious to know who is interested in a Secured Visa or mastercard.

HomeTrust Secured Visa Application for Canadians

We do get quite a few people visiting who are looking for secured visa's and mastercards in Canada.

The benefit of a secured visa or Mastercard is that they report to the credit bureau, which helps your rebuild your credit score.
re:what is a secured visa credit card
Being secured means that you give the credit card company a deposit, and in turn they give you a credit card with a credit line for the amount of the deposit. It sounds kind of weird, but it's important to have one of these cards to reestablish your credit.

HomeTrust Visa will approve your for these credit cards for all types of financial situations. The only time they won't approve you is if you are in bankruptcy and haven't been discharged yet.

Home Trust Secured Visa is registered by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions as a Trust Company. They're listed on OSFI's website as Home Trust Company. This makes them highly credible.

Home Trust Company are mostly marketed locally, but as well on websites like this.

re:what is a secured visa credit card
Home Trust is unique with its secured credit card, as it's one of the only secured credit cards in Canada that are openly marketed.

i've seen home trust visa listed as a secured credit card for canadians. who are they affiliated with. are they with the major banks?

re:what is a secured visa credit card

i think it's kind of funny that you have to give a $1000 dollar deposit in order to get a credit card with a balance of $1000 dollars. That seems a bit odd. If it's the only way to ensure I can increase my credit score, then I'm interested. it just seems funny though.
