We are working, and making money.

The last pmt was made about November, and before that pmts were made as we could and the cc has been this high for about 2 years I would say.

are you working? making money?

the collection agency will want proof of income... IE.. ability to pay...
they may want to see bank balances.. to prove ability to pay... IE... you could have $50000 in your account, but are saying you have nothing.

you should get the details in writing from Global before dealing with them..

my questions are:
how old is the debt?
when was your last payment on the debt?

Global is brutal with not taking payment plans

Hi everyone! Ok, I dont blame these people for doing their job, I think I just get mad at myself for getting in this hole in the first place, and want to blame them for their crappy attitude and phone calls.(pretty sure if I had their jobs, I wouldnt be all smiles)

Anyway - little background - dug a huge $15000 hole with a visa, and have left it long enough that Im at the end of my rope, and need to make some payments. Global is dealing with it(from reading past posts, lucky me!) and I have just started talking to them on the phone. They offered a $10000 lump sum settlement, I said no, that I would have to make payments. She said the payments would be $1500 and I said I could do $700 possibly. She sent me to her supervisor who said that we would have to do my income/expenses and get approval from BNS for pmt plan. I said "if you are dealing with BNS for approval for pmts, then why dont I just arrange it with them myself". She said that they would just refer me back to Global. I said Im not about to tell you our income, because you really could care less about my monthly expenses and would expect that we could be paying more. She said that she couldnt take my word for it that I can only pay $700, and I said I am working with a budget person and this is what I can pay now. This is where the conversation ended cause I told her that I would have to speak to someone about this because I wasnt comfortable releasing that info.

Question - should I just start paying Global what I can every week and ignore the fact that she 'needs approval for pmts?'

- I dont think I can pay BNS Visa anymore, as it seems to be out of their hands and with Global now

Thanks in advance!
