I want to remind everyone of something that they may have forgotten to do. Check your credit card agreements, you may have signed up for insurance that includes making payments for you if you are laid off from work. I believe it is called credit secure ( or something along that line). It doesn't hurt to check.

Credit Cards -be careful

Postby montyloree » Thu Nov 23, 2006 12:00:00 AM

Sometimes you don't know about things until they happen.
All my life I"ve heard that you shouldn't use credit cards for consumer items and things that goe down in value.

I've used credit cards for 25 years. I've had a good job all along. I've never had credit problems until recently when I got laid off of my job.

I didn't heed these warnings. My credit cards are maxed out and I am living on Unemployment Insurance now. I'm not sure what to do. Obviously I am looking for a job, however I've been well trained in factory work. I'm good at my old job. There aren't jobs like that around.

The credit card companies don't seem to care about that. They want their money as agreed to. Where is the human kindness. The credit card companies have made their money from me over the years. Lord knows I've paid enough interest.

After 25 years of working hard, I'm tired and ready to take a break. I guess my long awaited break is going to have to wait.

It just makes me sick.
