Sounds like a looser. He must be down on his luck....

Tell the bum you'll see him in court-he obviously can't pay for it so it won't transpire.
Thanks for being you...

Statute of Limitations in B.C.?

Postby tiggerjk » Tue Sep 14, 2010 08:47:23 AM

Thank you for your reply. Is there anything else that we could do to prepare for a lawsuit? The lawyers at the time gave us the wording for the document and both parties signed it. However, regretfully, it was not witnessed.
The accountants involved at the time, do remember the financial details of the transaction.

The other party is stating they have no recollection of signing any document.

Help? Would the six years Statute of Limitations still stand?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Statute of Limitations in B.C.?

Postby tiggerjk » Mon Sep 13, 2010 10:03:29 PM

Almost 14 years ago, my partner and I dissolved our company. In a signed agreement, by both parties, it was agreed a certain amount of money was given to the partner not participating in the business any longer. The
signed letter stated that no further monies were owed. The business changed names and continues on to this day.

The other day I rec'd an e-mail from him stating that I owed him an extremely large amount of money and that he would sue me to get it.
This is 14 years later, can he open this all up again, after all this time?
