Good job. Another excellent case presented! That is exactly what I have been telling people here that attending the trial is ALWAYS beneficial. If you explain your situation to the judge, 90% of the time you would end up getting a ruling like this one; No interest with possibly like $20 to $30 monthly payment.

Another punch to CAs.

the judge said that first of the interest rate the collection agency charged is completely outrageous, also the account is quite old, and my financial situation is causing me hardship so to force payments which I can not afford would worsen my situation. The collection agency lawyer was visibly furios.I told the judge that I do want to pay off this debt but am not able to do so and if we could come up with a reasonable payment plan that I would do so, but not the high payment that the agency wants. So needless to say I got the entire interest taken off, and have low payments which i wanted also with no more monthly interest.
Thank God for compassionate and understanding judges
