Hi failinginsanity

If you wish me to review your credit report, you can send a copy of it to my email address along with a telephone number and a return email address so that I can contact you and explain your credit report to you. I am very familiar with the reports from both Equifax and TransUnion both off the computer and by mail. I have blogged many times on this site about credit reports and you can see my blogs under credit reports, credit agencies, and the differences between the reporting practices of Equifax and TransUnion together with supporting documentation from the Ontario Consumer Reporting Act which is the governing legislation covering credit reporting agencies.

My email address is rstevenson@ezlink.ca

Good Luck and have a GREAT DAY

Equifax Report can you explain this to me and How to dispute date of last activity?

Postby failingsanity » Wed Jun 30, 2010 04:00:13 PM

I have just paid for my equifax credit report online. It shows me my debt and collectors. Im just hoping someone on here can explain it to me, I would be willing to copy and paste it to you privately to review and explain. Some say under "comments" written off, and then under that says monthly payments
one says written off sold or transferred ect.... I want to know if this means they are written off as in there not trying to collect these debts anymore, and There are 2 under "collection accounts" the rest are not. HOWever they are over 2 years past due.

I believe a few are incorrect for the "date of last activity" I am willing to contact my bank and find out as I can not check with my TD easyweb ebcause they are longer then 18months activity.

What can you do about this without resetting the last date of activity to find out, Or if you find out you DID not make a payment when they say you did and that it was longer then what they have on Equifax??

Also it says after 6 years of date of last activity wiull be purged. Is that true I always heard it was after 7 years???

(i live in ontario, canada)

Please reply asap! thank you very much!!
