Credit Bureau collections

Postby Ron_1983 » Tue Jun 08, 2010 09:35:51 AM

I recently applied for a credit card through my bank and the next day I received a phone call from Credit Bureau collections stating that i have an over due line of credit that has been passed on to them.

The problem that I can't figure out is that i had been called by NCO dealing with this about 5 months ago and the principle then was $1800, not I've been told that it at $3600 and they're willing to offer me a $3100 settlement but I only have 48 hrs to come up with the money. I have had problems in the past and I know that they are just trying to bully me into paying them, but what I'm not sure of is why would NCO pass the buck and how did my principle double?

The thing that really has me mad is that NCO wouldn't send me any paper work on what this debt was pertaining to so I thought I was rebuilding my credit, but everytime I apply for something to help me rebuild another one of these bottom feeders comes out of the wood work.

If you have any suggestions for me it would be really apperiecated, I have no problem paying them, I'm just not willing to borrow from friends and family.
