Are cash back credit cards, responsible credit cards? IE... will I get hooked on credit if I use them.?

I know that people always want to pay off their credit cards each month but some times they just can't...

Even though customers have money saved up, they need to use the money on bills and can't afford the credit card payment.

Are cash back credit cards higher interest if they don't pay off their balance right away?

Is there a way to get a low interest cash back credit card?
I am a Canadian-Money-Advisor.ca account, which asks good questions.

i do have the same question. in which card do i get the good amount of cash back? can anyone give me an idea or any advise that would help me.

im searching for a good card as i use these cards to buy what i need. i usually use it to purchase groceries as well as charge my gas usage. i also need the card to get my gadgets especially that im into video games now. i need to get new breed of RPG video games.

i think buying these stuffs would cost me a lot and somehow i want to get some cash in return. i could become my savings. at least i have put aside some cash in case i become broke with how i spend my money.

hi..

does a cash back credit card give me more savings compared to having a rewards credit card?

if you were in my place right now deciding what card to apply for, which of the two credit cards are you going to pick?

There are many credit card companies that offers wide range of incentives/rewards when you use their credit card. Cash back cards are very popular nowadays.

You can see different offers from different cash back cards. There are companies offering 1% off your balance while others will offer cash off for your purchases in their accredited stores.

Getting cash back cards is definitely a wise choice!

Hi Maybelle,

with a cash back credit card, every time you make a purchase you'll receive cash back points. Each card is different as far as redemption, but with the Capital One cash back card, you can redeem your cash after you've collected only $15. You can have the money applied to your statement or have a cheque sent to you.

Some of the other cards only allow you to redeem your points once per year in December. I like the idea of getting the money and having it available when I want it.

You can listen to some of my podcasts here on the subject:

Cash Back Credit Card Canada

Postby Maybelle » Wed May 12, 2010 05:05:48 AM

I’m no expert when it comes to credit cards and it’s only now that I’ve been kind of exploring my available options and I’m kind of interested in knowing more about the reward system in cash back credit cards Canada. Well, according to my financial adviser (my sister) I should be able to get some sort of free miles every time I make a purchase when I have reward or cash back credit cards. Is this true?

Now, as I mentioned, I’m kind of new to the concept and doesn’t really know how the whole thing works out? The way I understand it, every time I make a purchase some sort of reward gets registered into my account – that I’m clear enough of. Now here’s the question, how does the whole thing work with cash back credit card? How will I be able to claim it? Do I really need to reach a certain amount before I’m able to claim it? If the reward is free miles, when do I know when I’m eligible to use it?

I know that these are quite a lot of questions to answer, but I need to be sure first before I take any chances. Well, thanks for taking the time to read. I would appreciate it more if you’d be able to answer some of the questions that I’ve posted above. I’ve already done the necessary research and still came up lacking the answers so now I’m hoping that someone will be able to answer them for me. Thanks in advance.
