Oh... I misinterpreted... usually if somebody is in the debt settlement area, they are doing settlement or consumer proposal or other arrangement...

Jeepers, they just said it was MBNA.
60 months @$325 per month is $19,500
They sold it to a debt buyer so the credit rating is R9. Kaput.

How many creditors was this for?
Who put you on a program of $325 per month?
Did they lower the interest rate?

How long has this being going on for? IE... how bad is your credit score?

13000 DEBT

Postby gmbrown43@rogers.com » Mon Sep 30, 2013 01:13:38 PM

I had close to $18,000 in debt with MBNA, and they put me on a program to pay $325/month for 5 years to get it paid off. I was doing good until wife had our second baby, and now paying $1000/month in daycare and babysitting. Just no room for the $325. I sent them $50 payments just because that's all I could afford, they didn't like that too much. Said I had to pay at least $200 and they'd send me a settlement offer in the mail, never received it. (That and a few other letters they said they sent). I stopped payments completely because they didn't seem interested in my $50/month. Cut contact, and I get a phone call and a letter from PREFERRED CREDIT RESOURCES saying they purchased my debt from MBNA.

I read the 7K debt thread, just wondering how he made out and if there are any differences where I am in New Brunswick?

Any insight is VERY much appreciated!!
