Thanks Zacksdad....

On the flip side... if I continued to do nothing, the site would only deteriorate to nothing anyway....

We have a lot of valuable resources on the site that we've added since 2005... we have helped hundreds of thousands of people over the years..

going forward we are planning to do some high credibility things on the site... I'm not going to talk about them until the software is in place and the workers are trained...

A hint is that we are going to invite the experts to answer questions on this site... licensed and/or trained people will be invited to offer answers about personal finance questions. This should aid in giving our visitors even more value and help

I think everyone should be patient and give Monty some time. He cant fix everything in one or two days. He already has been cleaning some things up and with time the site will get better. As far as the the hijackers, just answering them keeps it going ,just ignore the posts and sooner or later with no stage they will disappear.

Hi TJ...
I beg to differ with your opinion.. at least on restoring the site...

I do agree with you regarding people high jacking the site... as long as I am here working each day, that won't happen...
If a person is going on an on about a subject and there is no resolution, obviously that will annoy the other members... as such, I won't allow it.. as you can see, I have deleted some conversations already...

Going forward you will see me add new posts about different topics...

One day at a time my friend... respect takes time to build and rebuild....

Sorry to say Monty that this forum will never be restored to its former glory as long as you continue to allow all the spam and let certain members high jack your site for their own personal agenda.
Other members have no interest in hearing the same crap day after day.
We were all receptive in the beginning to their plight but then got numb to it and fed up because of the constant barrage of the same BS.

Hankety...

At the moment it would seem that way... Let's call it what it is... I don't mind admitting when things are bad....

Due to my neglect, the only commenting has been bickering and fighting as of late... I guess we'll have to rebuild the discussion to being positive and productive one day at a time...

It seems that this is an example of the adversity that has fallen on my house... when people get sick and ill, work takes second priority

This is similar to many Canadians who are in debt , and then fall on hard times... the difference is that we're the ones trying to help people... So, I guess the hard times have fallen on the helpers...

I am a pretty resilient person... I will rebuild the discussion on the forum one day at a time...

Thanks for your comments

I always find that critics have at least some truth to what they say...that's why I always listen to critics... :) cheers

Funny, the story you posted says...

"The next battle is to make their individual strategies bear fruit".
I'm sure TD will have a trick or two, under their sleeve.

It's nice to see that after spending the summer fighting over legal issues, they have finally reached a compromise.

Imagine, How much money could be saved trying to come up with a compromise instead of wasting a whole summer fighting ?

It seems that CIBC , Canadian Imperial Bank of Canada was having legal issues with Aimia Inc the parent company of the Aeroplans rewards

CIBC is now going to share some of the portfolio with TD Bank...
