Before anyone starts calling themselves advisers around here, why don't you all tell us your background first. I think a lot of you are just big mouth know it all's, with no interest in really helping the little guy. I've been fighting a bank for 2 years now, and I have not received one bit of useful info from this site.

It should be called the Canadian Money Capitalist, and have "Mr wonderful" from dragon's den as the moderator................ You're all a bunch of phoney baloney's... But hey. That's just my opinion.

Paying it will not have it removed.
You can contact the reporting agency and explain its an error....but my experience has been it will be almost 2 yrs before it is resolved.

Both amounts are well past the Statute of limitations.
Ignore both....there is nothing they can do to collect.....except hound you.
Just keep no money in any branch of the bank you have LC and or overdraft with as they can at anytime remove funds.

Postby Raspotine007 » Mon Aug 05, 2013 03:07:05 PM

hi everyone,
i used to have an over draft on my checking account with scotiabank for 1500 dollars which i never paid this amount, i tried to pay it many times however the collection company CCL want me to pay another line of credit account that's on collection. it is like they associated the payment for both account. i can't pay the line of credit it is balloned to over 25000 dollars. we are talking about an account over 8 years old. the line of credit has been dropped from my credit report however the overdraft account still showing with the last day of payment ( jan 2010) which is not true, i haven't use this account for over 10 years...sorry but i had to explain the situation, my question wha'ts the best approach to resolve the issue...
thanks everyone
