If I had known that removing my bank account would take away my verified status, I never would have added it. I've been a verified member on paypal without any problems for many years, so I don't understand why if I choose to remove my banking information it would take away my status. Does it tell you that? i don't remember seeing it anywhere. The only reason I know about it, is because it came up while doing an internet search.

You know, there isn't really anything wrong with using alternative financial services. They offer payday loans, cash advances, things like that – and that's just fine if you use it every once in a while. Credit cards can't be assigned as a default payment method, although if you have a credit card on file, the ability to toggle to make that the funding source for a specific transaction should always be available. Be sure to click on the "Change" link under Payment Method on the confirmation screen without hitting the Enter button.

Transactions will present twice to a bank account and if the bank rejects both attempts, instant transfer will then utilize the backup funding source to collect.

Removing a bank account will remove verified status for some countries, including Canada, meaning that sending limits will be put back in place on an account.
