I found the most recent post at the top odd. At first I couldn't figure out the conversations. Then a whole five minutes later I cracked the code and just read from the bottom up. It is different but honestly if you can't adapt to something as simple as this you have no hope at life.

"No other forum on the internet does this and the control panel does not let you change this."

So you've seen all the forums out there, eh. Damn you have a lot of time on your hands Mate! But, for the sake of proving you wrong, hit Stockhouse.ca ... You'll see that their posts are sorted be the newest ones first, too..
Infuriating one C/A at a time..

Maybe there's a way that I can let people sort the discussion area how they want it...
I'll chew on it a little

Well... here's the story, without going into to many details.
I built this site from scratch to help people out.
I spent 5 years building it....

I've had people request newest to oldest, oldest to newest...
I can't please everybody.

I'm just trying to help people learn about money...

I guess I could have used out of the box software, but I didn't.. Out of the box software doesn't give me the flexibility I need.

so.. your comment is well taken. well noted.. etc...

thanks again

Ok, Monty, sorry if it seems like I am complaining. But why do you just brush off my comments? Why not take them and improve the site? Please, if anything, just change the way the threads work..... sort them by oldest first, not newest first. I have never seen any other forum on the internet do this. Please change it, trust me, your traffic will improve.

Thanks for your comments...

these forums are terribly laid out

Postby bcguybc » Mon Feb 22, 2010 11:23:03 AM

I have been to these forums many times and cannot get anything useful out of them because of the terrible layout. First, all the forums are not seperated into categories and there's too many unneccesary forums. For instance this forum, do we really need TWO general discussion forums, one for Canada and one for the rest of the world.

BUT THE WORST is how the posts in threads are sorted in order NEWEST FIRST. This is terrible. No other forum on the internet does this and the control panel does not let you change this. Why would I want to read the newest post first? I open a thread and see the first post says "Ok thanks for the help". What the heck. Please whoever owns this site figure it out and get it right.
