I noticed that myself the last few reports by mail and the only place they show the date of last activity is in the collection section. There must be a reason why they are no longer disclosing the date of last activity in the credit history. I wonder if they are being sneaky to force people to go online to pay to get the additional information.

I just received my Equifax report Via Mail and all it shows is the last reported date, status - paid as agreed, the balances at that time, account #, then shows when it was opened, the credit limit and mimimum monthly payment.

It doesn't actually give a date of last payment of activity, just last reported adn the balance at that time. I also notices they don't report every month, its every 3 months for most of my accounts.

The hard inquiries are Canadian and always came off like clock work every three years. I also faxed a letter of proof to have an item removed and that never happened. I never had issues with equifax; it was always with Tran’s union. I believe someone hacked their system for both of them to be having technical difficulties and now they are working off their back up system till they get it solved.

During my little issue Equifax was down for three or four days. I honestly thought they were lying to me.

With respect to hard inquiries are they from the States? Those don't drop off unless you call in and have them removed. There is also a minimum number of hard pulls so when you are down to the minimum number they never fall off despite how old they get.

I called equifax and they are having problems with their system and I was told if I do another report I will see the date of last activities. I can’t see that happening because I did a report a month ago and it showed the same. I believe equifax has been experiencing system problems for a month. I called Trans union last week and I was told to call back later because they had system problems. I wonder if someone hacked in to their systems.

I received my credit report by mail today and I also noticed no date of last activity or last transaction in credit history section. I faxed them a letter stating an item is over six years old and they did not remove it. I also noticed I have three hard inquiries that are over three years old and their system did not remove them.

I wonder why the change or is it a glitch in their system.

It use to show that on the paper version? My only paper version is from last month so it also does not show date of last activity. The online version does show it though.

Equifax Credit Report By Mail

Postby average_joe » Tue Feb 09, 2010 05:42:22 PM

I noticed in my credit report by mail that the last date of activity or last transaction in no longer in the credit history and/ or banking information section. I wonder why the change after all these years. The date of last payment is still showing in the public records and other information section.
