Credit scores are between 350 and 850.. Going below 650 would make you a higher credit risk..
There are many different items that creditors use to assess credit risk such as:
- Do you rent or own your own home
- How long have you lived in your current residence
- How many other pieces of credit do you have, and how are you currently administering those.
They want to determine how stable a payer you are and what your current financial health is like.
To be sure, simply contact a credit card company and ask them what attributes they're looking for. Just tell them that you're not applying , but that you're just doing some research.
Let's put this in perspective. If you had 1 r9 and 10 r1's and 5 l1's they would probably say that for the most part you've got good credit.
If you have 10 r9's and 1 r1, you've probably got something wrong with your repayment capability.
