Go to The Source and buy a phone recorder. They are $25-30 and hook up to any computer. Start recording your conversations. Tell him you are recording them and that you will be forwarding the recordings to Brian Pitkin. They will stop calling. If they don't e-mail Mr Pitkin and he will deal with the issue for you.

There is nothing they can do legally so I would not worry and ignore their calls. If you can see the telephone number add it to the call block list.

I just had some Amish guy from them Call and totally yell and harrass and swear. If the last payment was six years ago then the debt is stat barred. They can't take you to court or make you pay it. They can't even report it on your credit report.

I have dealt with these boneheads before. I would send them a cease and desist letter. If the last time you made a payment on this account was six years and you’re in Ontario, this account is considered stats barred and you can longer be sued and you will be fine. How much is your debt and when was the last time you made a payment on the account? Which collection agency is giving you a hard time? The collection agencies are in the business of collecting and not suing.
