There is a nice article in the Castlegar News about Managing your credit score with Equifax and TransUnion. It's recommended that you get yourself a secured credit card, (we have them on this site), as part of the credit score improvement.

Secured credit cards give the credit bureau a piece of GOOD credit, which is important if most of your other credit is bad. My only piece of advice is that you strictly keep up the payments with your secured credit card as agreed to with the creditor.
