how was your mortgage application? was it successful? you will surely get more points once you will be having the approved application. just be careful with you debts. i know that you are aware of the different situations or circumstances that can ruined your credit history or rating. just be very careful.

Finally after almost 2 years my score jumped from 590 to 617.

I am applying for a mortgage soon, and was hoping to get a few more points.

I have a $300 CC I just paid down to $50, and a $1750 Capitalone card I just paid down to $800. How long does it typically take to reflect on your score?

My score will not increase

Postby Rinconns » Wed Jan 06, 2010 10:07:16 PM

Last year I pulled my credit file. My score from transunion was 590.
I had two old accounts, mastercard and rogers which I defaulted on both.
Both accounts were settled and closed. But they were still both activley reporting each month as non collected debt. With advice I got from this website last year, I disputed wth transunion and both were updated to paid/closed. An have started aging since May 2009. I have no other negative comments, all my current debts and credit cards are current and R1.

So why is it, almost a year later and I am still at the exact same score I was, 590?

Also, I a getting two deragatory comments for one delinquint account. Rogers and Iqor both posting for the same account. I am sure having a second deragatory comment is dragging me down.

any help would be greatly appreciated as I am hoping to apply for a mortgage this coming spring
