Hey Ivon,
what you're saying is that SSSS1 should shop for rates before he fills out the 20 pages of forms?

If he ;got a whole new policy, wouldn't that new company require him to fill out the same kind of forms?

Thanks Ivon

There have been huge changes in the life insurance business. And of course all this information helps them think of other things to sell you.

Suggest you find out the new life insurance premium before acting.

Sorry for the delayed response...

If you're getting questioned after 20 years that probably means that your term policy is due...

Think about it reasonably... how many things change in a persons life over 20 years? You gain weight, your body ages, you're into new activities.. you get married, or even start having grandchildren.

20 years is a generation...

In order to REassess their risk, the insurance company wants to get a new snapshot of your health history... If you review your contract, it's probably all there....

Change to non-smoker status

Postby SSSSSS1 » Tue Dec 08, 2009 10:19:56 AM

I have asked my broker to change my status to non-smoker and was sent a 20 page document to fill out asking about my complete medical history. I am more than willing to fill out anything pertaining to smoking/non-smoking and any associated illnesses. I have had life insurance with this company for 20 years. What right do they have to now ask me all these questions?
