Glad to see somone's catching on. Darn poetic too, the way he phrased it.

"Those bloody collection agencies have sparked
a fury in me which will not be quenched until I
have counter exposed them completely, leaving
them as bare as a babe in the woods.

Here is the face of the enemy....."

Captain Ahab would be proud.

I am so glad that someone who has been harrassed is sharing this information so freely and willingly. I was harrased by the same company and a few others. ARO Inc. These companies totally abuse people and should not be allowed to get away with this type of behavior. ARO Inc refuses to give me information and many times claim to be the Hardship Department for Ontario Student Loans. It is hard to complain when those who commit or misrepresent themselves as lawyers, investigators...etc...refuse to give their names so you can file a complaint. These people have your SIN number which they should never have access too...I have a serious problem with this....any suggestions? ie. FIPPA Act, SIN Act ????

I've spoken to Bob Richards of CBV Collection Agency. He is the manager of the collection agent that harrassed my 11 year old girl. The agent called my house not to collect but to talk to me about a client.

Bob Richards lied to me when he told me that he would send a letter of apology to my daughter for that harrassment. Not surprisingly, we never received that letter!!

BTW... this is the iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency Collection agency area.. Let's try to keep our CBV Collection Agency over in it's respective area.

It's interesting to see what other people are complaining about - (GOOGLE) with regards to iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency Collection Agency and the other ones.

I have a few hours of interesting reading doing this.

Thanks WJ Feder. I'm glad to see that a collection agency was ordered to pay $25,000. This really helps develop much needed legal precedence in Canada!! Thanks for posting that.

RE: Call the President of iQor Collection agency - CBCL at home!!!

Postby montyloree » Fri Feb 17, 2006 12:00:00 AM

Hilarious...
I wouldn't recommend that everyone call the president because he would soon change his phone number.. It's nice to know that he would have some exposure to calls from people.

Last year a collection agent (CBV Collections) called my home, instead of my business with regards to a clients account. He then started to harrass my 11 year old daughter and threaten her!

I couldn't do anything legally because he wasn't calling me to collect me so he wasn't acting under the collection agencies laws. It was simply treated as a crank phone call.

I then called the manager and district manager and they tried to smooth things over and lied to me. They indicated that they were going to send a letter of apology to my daughter. We never received it.

That incident fuelled my interest in helping other people understand and take control when dealing with collection agencies.

A collection agency knows the type of industry they're in. They're well aware of the regulations. They also know that the Canadian government won't come after them unless many people complain in writing and make a big deal out of it. So... They'll push as hard as they can get away with.

I encourage people to complain about collection agencies in writing to your local Provincial Consumer Protection - Justice Department. The more people that complain, the more the government will take it seriously.

Need a voice recording device?

Try these:

http://www.dynametric.com/pdf/tlp-102.pdf

Or a voice recording kit?:

Bring em on! I can take them ALL!

This is the unit I have and it works like a charm!

Call the President of iQor Collection agency - CBCL at home!!!

Postby CaughtOnTape » Thu Feb 16, 2006 12:00:00 AM

Have concerns!? Call the president at home!!!

HEY!!! They have absolutely NO issues when it comes to
harassing YOU at home, so here's a little leveller for you!

Can't get through to anyone at iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency 's offices? Call the
pres at home! ;) I'm sure you'll get some action then eh!

President of iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency :
Home address & Home Telephone Number:
Graeme Stirrett
1207 Fawndale Rd,
Pickering, Ontario
Canada.
L1V -4M4
(905) 509-2591

This fact can be confirmed by reading Global Calgary's report
which mentions the president's name:

http://www.canada.com/globaltv/calgary/consumerbeat/story.html?id=fcaaa27c-280a-4749-b0e3-ff049b69c8df

A special search for the president's "Unlisted" phone number and
address came up with the information above. I have access to
some rather good information sources.

A telephone call to his wife confirmed that this is the proper
person, no errors here! This IS the correct person.

Do enjoy! Thoroughly!

hey wj feder ,

THESE RECORDINGS ARE PRICELESS THANK YOU!!

That's pretty cool that you recorded those phone calls.
I think everybody needs to listen to them.

I've talked to collection agencies on behalf of clients. I don't have a great deal of respect for some of them.

The second recording is perfect: Asking for the company name In this one the man (wj feder) asks the collection agency for the name of his company BY LAW and the collection agent won't answer the question.

That's perfect!! The collection agent must disclose who they're calling from, other wise it could be a call from an illegal telemarketing scam. As well, you can also ask for written proof that the collection agency or agent is licensed in your province. Otherwise the phone call is illegal.

These are priceless recordings!! Thanks wj feder.

Keep them coming.

Collection Agents Caught on tape!!!

Postby CaughtOnTape » Wed Feb 15, 2006 12:00:00 AM

Feast your Virgin ears on these!

http://www.ihud.com/file.php?file=160206/1140052403/Feb15-2006.mp3

http://www.ihud.com/file.php?file=160206/1140053305/Feb5-2006.mp3

http://www.ihud.com/file.php?file=160206/1140052450/Feb1-2006.mp3

The third MP3 (Feb15-2006.mp3), was recorded during a period of time while

I was home off work due to a severe arthritis attack.

The overdraft had already been paid but the agency
still made the call. The agent essentially laughed about me being ill and insisted on
me paying a bill which had already been paid! He went as far as telling me that my
actions were illegal an subject to fraud charges. He also mentions that my word is no
good! A real piece of work.

The second file (Feb5-2006.mp3), is a short but really aggressive call I took from
another agent.

The third file (Feb1-2006.mp3), is a call from agent in file #2 above, demanding that
I call him back. No holds barred here folks.

Enjoy. I'm sure there will be more to come. I'm going to let a few more debts slip
so I can record and hear from my lovely friends.

PS: If everything these folks are saying is legal then they should have nothing to worry
about eh!
