i'll give them a call. but no they dont show in the inquiry section and nothing in my history matches the amount it says i owe. thanks for the link though

I searched Mac financial on Google and I came up with this listed below. I would give them a call and maybe they are the company that have your debt or once did.

In the inquiry section of your credit report, does it show Mac or anything close to that with a telephone number? Do you owe any creditor any money? If the date of last activity is showing 2006, this item will come off your credit file in 2012.

I just got a recent report from equifax. on it there is a company i do not recognize called MAC financial. I looked them up and they are a collection agency. The amount is not something I recognize from 2006 so almost 4 years. I dont know what to do...I spoke to the company that sent me the equifax and they dont even know who MAC financial is. I don't know what to do. they haven't called me or anything it was just sitting there when i tried to apply for a different credit card it was denied because of this. Has anyone ever had this happen? Will it fall off my report or do i pay it and it stays there...
I will also add this item showed up on my report in october, the same report i got last year did not show this company or outstanding amount I checked. help!?
