MLM, like everything, is a huge amount of work... there are tons of learning curves that seem endless..

People get into MLM thinking they are going to make money right away.. the people who actually make the money are those who persevere and are willing to do dog work for a long period of time. This is pretty much the same for any type of business.

You have to learn to wallow through the mud and get to like the mud...

Most people don't like to do the distasteful work that is required to make a project successful... over the last 19 years, I have had to wear all of the hats in my business.. I have had to become proficient in business development, website development & programming, artwork, online marketing, etc etc etc ... I've worked many days for free...I've worked many hours for 25 cents per hour..

With MLM a person needs to take a long term approach... they need to realize that they're going to work for free for a while, while they learn all of the skills required to stay in business. This could take a short time or long time depending on your current skill set and determination..

MLM is a good way to make money, however it's not an easy way to make money

Its really very interesting to make money through social media...

MLM is a great way to lose money. It is really sad that people get involved in these. I have friends who drag me to these every few months so I'm familiar with most of them. There is never any chance that I'll be interested but I go to keep them from joining. Every single MLM is going to lead to financial loss and likely the alienation of friends and family.

Interestingly enough, social media (twitter.com & facebook) are all about relationship development... they use the same techniques as MLM Multilevel Marketing.

There seems to be a hierarchal way to gather names and market.

I don't like when MLM marketers are pushy or sneaky... but the relationship development side is quite good.

I see a lot of MLM guys try to get into my office and talk to me all the time. Personally, its not my style and it has always irritated me.

It must be effective since people still use it.

I see Amway advertising like crazy these days...
I'm curious to know if MLM is still strong and active in Canada these days.
