If they are telling you to contact them by a certain date to avoid enforcement, it sounds like a bluff. I would get them to send you a copy of the judgment or a letter.

Sounds like a default judgment.

Who is the creditor and for how much?

Sounds suspicious

Check with the small claim court and make sure it is for real. If not... haha.... you can even hold on to this letter and sue them for fraud.

Thank you Average and richard for your interest
they write down in the paper
judgement was obtained against you The judgement may be placed on the general execution docket creating a lien on real estate or personal property.

To avoid further action being taken to enforce this judgement, contact me by 26-08-09 to arrange payment of this debt.
Last time i made a payment october 2008 .my concern question is how they will get bank information.

Who is the collection agency? I wouldn't listen to anything a collection agency tells you; the judgment is just a bluff. I wouldn't give the collection agency any banking or personal information. If they don't know where you work, don’t tell them. When the last time you made a payment on this account and what province do you live in?

Its called a default judgment - it happens when you don’t defend the action. Creditors often regular mail statement of claims because people ignore them... end result, default judgment

But it may also be a bogus collection notice that you are reading too deeply into. What does the letter read exactly?
