great point and that explains a lot of my experience with transunion
i tried to tell the offshore person that I am nervous giving my credit info. to people that i do not know, and now that they aren't bound by canadian privacy laws, that seals the deal as far as me getting a credit report from them

i don't ever understand how canadian companies selling services to canadians, can hire non-canadian companies, who will never use their services

Just to inform all you other Canadians, Trans Union outsources their phone services to India. Canadian privacy laws do not apply in India. Your private credit information is being accessed by persons not bound by Canadian law or privacy laws. Your credit card #'s and S.I.N. can be gathered and handed out to their friends, family or even terrorists. In this time of identity theft, I would think this would be a major concern to every single Canadian citizen. Send an email or letter to your P.M. and M.P. and M.P.P. to complain. This should not be allowed to happen!
