They can add the collection item. Ontario is really odd because you can't sue after 2 years but you can attempt to collect for over 6 year (6 years and a day sounds correct for some reason, but it could be years)

So you'd have to talk to equifax or trans union about the item to get more details on when it would fall off of your bureau. Let us know how it goes.

Did you pay or settle any of these charged off accounts from 2004?

Hi there,

i have a problem and wish some of you guys can show me how to deal with it.
basically, i had some financial troubles way back in 2004 resulting in chargeoff accounts and alot of damage to my credit rating.
Recently, i obtained some secured credit cards and have been working on rebuilding my credit, and the score were going up steadily over time untill recently i saw that one of the old charge off cards, a sears card, is being reported as a collection account on my transunion report and not on the equifax one.

now, the new collection account caused my score to drop over a 100-120 points as it seems it looks liike a new account to the system.
not sure what to do about this?

have anyone encountered a problem like this ? any ideas are really appreciated

thanks
