Owing collector,

The statement that Wells Fargo does below blanket settlements does not make sense. The creditor Wells Fargo does not need the blanket settlement clause because they own the debt and can accept anything they want. The blanket settlement clause is giving to the collection agencies and they can accept 5% if they want.

dealing final payment

Postby scott40 » Mon Jun 15, 2009 01:49:08 PM

Hello, i have been dealing with alliance one in regards to a wells fargo account i had. First i had agreed to pay them 175.00 a month toward 4000.00 i had outstanding. They claimed i owed 7400.00. After six months of paying 175.00, they decided they wanted a lump sum payment of 3700.00. I did not have the money so i couldnt pay that amount. I wanted to deduct the money i contributed so far, but they said that it all went to interest. I stopped paying and communicating with them for six months. They have called 3 times a week with automated messages. I wish to rid myself of these annoying calls and i have 2000.00 to offer them, take it or leave it. How do i go about doing this and what do i do if they dont accept? I want them gone.
