Hey Guys great news I called Aktiv Kapital and I used some tips I learned from this site and got this all sorted out. I told them that I was gonna pursue legal action because they didnt state who they were when they called my house and asked for my number. Of course they freaked out and were more willing to talk because before they never believed me. So they asked me a couple of questions and they told me to fax my drivers license to prove that I was only 14 when this american express was filed in my name they said "We'll give you a week to send this to us" I said Ok and walked down to the post office as I don't have a fax machine and sent it to them in 15 minutes. I called them back and they said they got the fax, the sound of their voice was awesome because they were totally shocked that I was telling the truth. So they said they were going to take all my info off that account and that they were going to notify equifax and transunion canada. Then I asked for a letter to be sent to my house saying that it wasnt me as proof (another thing I learned at this site) and now I'm gonna fax to equifax and transunion canada and get this off my record. I'm so happy that I'm getting this cleared and all thanks to the confidence and the very good help that monty and all the posts that I read through gave me.

P.S. Apparently this american express is the thing from 04/05 that was on my equifax and its the only thing that I HAD on my credit bureau so I only had that problem and now it's gone WOOOOOO

Sincerely,
Ricardo

Thanks guys those are encouraging words and I really feel like somebody knows and cares about this stuff to try and help someone out but do you think that I can clean this up without the courts and all that other junk?

Thanks again,

The webmaster of this site (Monty Loree) has a really good DIY credit repair eBook here: /canadian-credit-repair-ebook.html

I would suggest getting it. You will need to get a hold of Equifax to clean up that mess. I know it’s a pain, but you will need a great credit rating for a great rate come home purchase time. It’s worth every penny.

Confused!!

Postby RicardoLM » Wed Mar 18, 2009 01:22:55 AM

Hi I'm 19 about to turn 20 I have never had a credit card before and last september I applied for a MasterCard at my bank. 2 weeks went by and I still didn't get an answer. When I went to my bank and I asked them if I got declined or approved they said I got declined because of something to do with credit back in 04/05. Now I was only 14/15 back then which means it was impossible to get a credit card back then. I always thought about it but I never really got to calling equifax, Then I got a call from this Aktiv Kapital and they sent me a letter saying I owed american express which made my mind boggle. So I called them and said what was up with this and they asked me certain information like my name which they said was rick but I said I never went by rick before I've always used Ricardo and my address which was correct. Then they asked me what my birthday was which wrong it said this "rick" was born in 85 but I was born in 89. After the guy said "oh well we must have the wrong person, don't worry about it." So I said ok stupidly and ripped out the letter and put it in the garbage. But yesterday I decided to call Equifax to get the 04/05 incident straightened out cuz I'm planning on buying a truck soon. Then a few hours later I got a call from Aktiv Kapital on my cell phone I never gave them my cellphone number and again I told her that it wasnt me then she tells me to go to my court get a fraud report and an afa david(I dont think I spelt that right) and she said that they're going to lookin into this and that if they find out that it is me and I'm lying that I'm going to have big problems. I later found out that she had called my house and asked my brother for my cellphone number and all she said was that it was regarding an important buisness matter and my brother didnt know that it was this woman. I was mad about this I don't know if that is legal to do but either way I was wondering if anyone had any help or advice for me I'm only 19 and I don't want this to scar my credit for life especially since I wanna buy a house in a couple of years. Thank you very much

P.S. Sorry to the administrator if this is in the wrong section I apologize a million times I'm a total newb at this Thank you very much
