Richard

Actually this wasn't Rosey ( I had paid this account before consulting her), I was personally dealing with Aktiv Kapital's Complaince officer via email and they sent me release letters, even a copy of tranunion manual update copy

Rosey has helped me on other accounts and still 2 more to go

1) Natale Law Office
2) HSBC

If you owe the money, make arrangements to pay it, if thats within your financial capacity. If its stat barred, there isnt much they can do but phone and send mail to you about the debt.

Richard Aktiv is now using A1 Credit to collect their debt. I have not replied to them at all. The original amount of 3800.00 is now suddenly only 1200.00 according to A-1's letter i receivede. My first and last communication with Aktiv was on feb 17th 2009 when I asked them for the proof of the debt. i didnt get a thing from them until this A-1 Credit letter two weeks ago. Should i just ignore it or should i respond and what would i say. This is from the year 2000

Interesting.. That's about the same time frame for when they bought my MBNA account. It's not paining me at this point to have the blemish remain on my Credit Report, so I'll be leaving it until I'm in a position to settle with everyone at the same time. Perhaps when that time comes around (end of this year maybe) I'll Inbox you for additional info. Cheers.

My account was with them since Jul/08 and according to my credit report, they never tried to look for me ( these are ontario debts which I believe is only 2 year SOL and all my debts are passed SOL actually )

But I tell ya, the lady who was in touch with me was very helpful

I see... Curious because my MBNA account has been sold to their 'firm'. Acktiv has yet to approach me on the matter, however, I'm keen on learning more about how those trash-bag's play their game [now]? Raymond made some great points in the past, however, Activ's strategy may have changed since then?

Curious, what percentage did you settle the account for?

I recently had to deal with Aktiv Kapital

My Amex account was with them and I had already paid AMEX so I emailed them and there was this awesome person who took care of the whole thing via email ( attaching release letter PDF etc )

If anyone wants her direct email, let me know - she was simply awesome
