The reason they keep the ceo's, in their contracts they get paid whether they are working or not, so why not keep them on.The people at the bottom don't have any contracts.

What needs to happen is every second assistant to the assistant of the 15 different VP's of operations needs to get busted down to the mail room. Corporations become too top heavy with success, but don't cut back when the economy slows down.

Yes, let's get rid of the people who actually build the cars, serve the customer at the bank, etc, etc. We don't need them at all! What do they need jobs for? Pay the mortgage, buy groceries, actually spend money? Psh! Let em rot!

It makes more sense to trim at the bottom. We need the smart ceo’s to run these companies when the economy gets better. This recession was in the making for years. There is more to this recession then meets the eye. The United States which owes countries around the world money, I believe crashed their markets for a reason.

There are countries like Russia, China and Iran that were getting to powerful for the United States to handle. These countries I mentioned have surpluses and in due time they would be a problem for America. These countries now are in a recession and within a few years their surpluses will turn into deficits.

When these countries decide they want to erase the debts that America owes, then you will see the economy turn around, till then we are heading for two more years of rough times. It is unfortunate that we the people are going to suffer in the meantime.

Uh, yeah.

I did not say nor suggest that the people at the bottom 'knew how to run things'.

Where the bloody hell did you get that from?

Ya know, I've always wondered why, when a company has to take cost saving measures, it's always the bottom of the pyramid that gets chopped off instead of the obvious over expenditures like excessive numbers of executives, overinflated salaries for those people and massive bonuses.

To me, its always made far more sense to trim the fat at the top than to slice the company off at the knees.

Yes Monty, to see them get treated like they have treated people over the years would be very fitting for for them.

yes i think lot of their money went to a selected few. The US govt should of demanded the top excs had to reduce their salaries to min wage to make up for the over paying the received over the years and the mess they made of their banks.

omg... that is amusing...

Charge Citibank 29.99% because after all, it's got bad credit.

Then we charge them hefty fees as they are a high risk client to the tax payer.

Then see them grovel. that would be neat.
