Hello again

I went to a place that I found online through a government website. I pay a 50.00 set up fee and 10% on my payments

Get Educated, not "Debtucated" by Cheapdegrees.com

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to respond to your inquiry or several others last week.

I hope you are not paying any money to whoever you are seeing for credit repair.

So many credit repair outfits are manned by clowns that are ex-collection agents, sundry rip-off artisits (One credit repair guy on this forum last year got his university degree from an affiliate of "Cheapdegrees.com) or characters who have never had or didn't want a serious job.

Your situation was relatively simple but contained several issues which would require a lengthy response. Nonetheless, it's all information that anyone can readily acess for themselves and so I hope you are not paying some incompetent shyster for it.

My Situation - Need Help and Advice

Postby blue98saturn » Fri Sep 05, 2008 10:22:37 AM

My Situation

For the last little while I have been pursuing my career choice which is to become a police officer. I have most of the qualifications however my credit it holding me back. I made some mistakes in the past and they are haunting me right now.

I just obtained a credit report from Equifax and knew about most of the stuff that was listed. Now I just need advice on how to fix the mistakes that I have made.

My credit report has listed the following information;
All the areas are blank except the following areas,

Credit Information –

My current vehicle loan - status – Paid as agreed and up to date with no payments late
TDCT Visa – Paid as agreed and up to date with 3 payments 30 days late. 0 payments 60 or 90 days late.
G M A C Paid as agreed and up to date. No payments late and account paid.

Here is the interesting one …

Rogers Wireless Inc. – Payment Amount is not available Balance is listed at $0.00 Past Due is not availabl Status is Bad Dept, Collection account or unable to locate. Prior Paying History – At least 120 days past due, Three or more payments past due, Two payments past due. Under the comments it says ‘Closed at consumer request Account paid’

I never paid this account off and it’s worth about 1, 100 last time they sent me a bill. I had disputed the amount owing and they never gave me a reason for the bill being so high. I cut the services off and left it. That was a mistake I know, but trying to find a way to fix it now.

Scotia Bank - Account Paid

Collection Accounts

National Money Mart P D L 2
Amount: $749.00
Balance Amount 1, 030.00

Credit Inquires to the File

A LOT

Soft Inquiries

4 inquiries listed

There are several things that I have done financially that I know are not listed on this report. I had a cell phone with Bell Mobility that was cut off and they told me they were sending to collections. There was also a speeding ticket that I received and hired Ex-Copper and they threatened to send me to collections and it’s not listed either.

I need to get my credit cleaned up and don’t know what to do at this point. Any suggestions? Thanks a million in advance.
