as the other poster has said, there is no relationship per say, except that they are both mutual companies without shreholders.

They're both mutual companies owned by their POLICYholders; there are no shareholders

The UK company is one of the oldest. I'm guessing the Canadian company just thought it was a good name to use.

I don't think there is any other relationship than that. They are certainly not part of the same group
