Sounds like another Oscar winning performance from Kupferstein. Nor did you disclose the nature of this alleged fraud. How about doing that?

Don't I feel stupid? I got upset at my husband when he told me he deleted the email I sent him about the "LAW OFFICE" who called today and left a message saying they were calling for him. Of course I panicked when "Mr. Hazel" from "Paul Kupferstein & Associates" called. The caller display showed 1-905-474-3535 but he said we could call back toll-free at 1-866-826-0002 and quote the reference number *******. That he was following up on an investigation. Well, the reason I thought it was legit??? My husband works for the local RCMP so hence my confusion right? I should have searched FIRST before sending him the email. But in my defence, the caller id DID show LAW OFFICE, not Paul Kupferstein & Associates Law Office, but still! Grrr stupid idiots!!! I was so upset because we're trying to save for a house and I thought, what if this hurts our chances of applying for a mortgage? All these thoughts were in my head. But then I thought, no, his credit is good, I would know anything that hasn't been paid. How do they get away with doing things like this?!!?!?

I have been recently getting calls from these people saying that I needed to call back in regards to some number, and then I had to call back in 24 hours, and then I had to call back now otherwise they were going to do an "investigation".

I answered the phone today when they called and told her I know who they are, and I have looked them up, and the lady was lost when I told her that, and then started to tell me that I "owed" $2000, and that they authorities were coming to get me, and I can take my "attitude" to court (I was polite and cheery with her, well laughing actually). WELL, first off, she didn't bother telling me WHO it was I apparently owed money too. Then she told me that I had court, but DIDN"T mention, when, where, with who, and then she hung up on me.

She most of all did not like the fact that I told her if she called again I would have them charged with harrasement, and I will take them to court and sue them... Then she got mouthy (not rude words, just her nasty tone).

So at this moment in time, I will be contacting my local police station to see what they say I should do. Also, I am interested in taking these people to court because 1. They are frauds, and their work ethic is unbelievably improper (I don't know how they are still in business with they way they act towards "clients"). 2. I hope that anyone else who has had a problem with these people will also jump on board so we can tell the world exactly how rude, impolite, and fraudulant these people really are!

I received a call from a man from this company telling me that they were going to serve me tomorrow. I proceeded to try to ask him some questions because I didn't really understand what he was talking about. He then went off on me and proceeded to tell me that I was being investigated for fraud and that as of today my bank accounts would be frozen and that they were going to contact my employer tomorrow. I responded by telling him that this was harassment and threatening and that he had no legal right to contact my employer and that if he did so I would be contacting the authorities, after I said this he hung up on me. So I decided to call the place I apparently owed money to I spoke with their collections dept. and was told that this law firm often behaves like this and not to worry about it, I was told I could still pay any dept I owed to the company themselves and just to keep my receipts. I was also told that the reason the man likely hung up was because I knew my rights and that this law firm routinely tries to scare people into paying an owed dept at exorbitant amounts. These people are going against the law and I would advise no one to pay them; instead call the company you owe and see if you can still pay them directly. If enough people call them on their bad practices they eventually will be out of business!!!

Has anyone actually gotten served by these aholes? They have been calling and asking for a large rediculous sums of money from someone I know. I told this person not to even send a dime to them, because it sounds werid to me having him deposit money or send a money order to them. He didn't get anything in the mail stating he owes money to them, or a confirmation letter. He only borrowed a few hundred and he was going to pay them back before these guys started to call. I don't even know how they got my number and his number? idk, has any of you gotten sued by them? I talked to the police and they told me to go to the loan store and get them to give me all the information they have on this company and who is calling. And if they have no idea who they are I can sue them and charge them with fraud.

I have just gotten a call from Paul Kupferstein and Let me tell you someone needs to sue him! Mr Kupferstein actually tried to make me believe that my son was involved in a "Law Suit" so I would get him to call the office...I am now aware that is must be a collections issue and not a law suit at all...Mr Kupferstein even went so far as to give me a date for the law suit as well...When I called him back to inform him he was breaking laws and rules...he became belligerent and dared me to sue him! He even hung up on me and accused my son of getting many calls such as his! Mr Kupferstein couldn't believe that I would "Google" him before passing on the information to my son....so be aware people...He will say anything....call anyone and he is not allowed to do this....If anyone wants my statement...just let me know!

I can not belive the arrogance or complete unprofessional ignorance I have experienced with this company. For two days they have called looking for someone that does not live in my home and for two days i have told him "Klassen" do not EVER phone my house again this person does not live here and this call is complete "harrassment, and you are causing me an uneeded distress", he continued to call four or five more times and then again today! I am at my wits end with this company and i can not believe they are still in business beiing completely un-ethical, unprofessional and downright rude! The Law Society, the general public and Ministry of Consumer Affairs should be clamping down un such indecent procedures and a company that will literally go this far in harrassing someone who has nothing to do with the issue they were hired for!!!! Persoanlly, i think more people should be companing to the Law Society and more people should continue to start law suits and any other avenues they can take to rid of this type of business. There are very "Professional Paralegals" that can do a much better job in debt collection without needing to harrass, annoy and disturb other peoples privacy. Surely as lawyers they should know the legal rules!!!!
