Excuse me, I have CHansen here.....

Here is the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year – Utah Region web page;

http://www.ey.com/US/en/About-us/Entrepreneur-Of-The-Year/PNW_UTAH_Article_Overview_Page_Main

Note what’s under the heading “Judging process”:

“The nominees in each region are evaluated by an independent panel of judges.”

Further, we emailed E&Y back in 2008, and the response from them is below:

“You should know that Ernst & Young sponsors the Entrepreneur of the Year program but does not have any say in the selection of award recipients. The recipients are selected by an independent panel of judges. An EOY award is not an endorsement of any individual, company, product or service by Ernst & Young.

Thank you again for your report.

Andy Heaton
EY/Ethics”

And yes, the Utah judging panel has given this same award to scams in the past, including Xango fruit juice.

I have my own analogy, albeit a stretch I'm sure - UFirst is like any other scam that takes time to come to light, get real attention and fizzle out.

The reason I provide an analogy is because United First Financial, like manufacturers of exercise equipment (or any other product, for that matter), are offering a product/service that claims to satisfy the customer while providing a profit margin for the company.

This, my friend, is not a scam; this is called Free Enterprise, and here is the good news: If clients of UFirst (or any other corporation) feel ripped off, and if this happens on a consistent basis, then their is no possible way that the company will survive on a long-term basis. Now the fact that United First Financial has survived 2009 (a down year for many organizations in the financial services industry) with no debt and millions of dollars in reserves is clear proof that they are offering a legitimate service that customers absolutely love!

The Money Merge Account system is not a scam; even the esteemed financial guru, Dave Ramsay, has admitted such.

How on earth could Ernst & Young, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, recognize UFirst with one of their coveted awards if the MMA system was flawed?

You can say it is a scam all you want, but I have not yet seen one shred of evidence or proof that would indicate such. United First Financial is no scam; it is a great company providing an excellent alternative for thousands of completely satisfied customers!

Well, Ken. There you go again. I'm not interested in chasing all your analogies, agents have more than any three people I know.

But - I will tell you that I make no claim beyond the mastery of 5th grade math. And yes, any who fall for this scam are less smart than a 5th grader.

Getting ripped off and loving it is not a sign of being from the deep end of the gene pool.

I just cannot figure out why people like JoeTaxpayer feel they have to poke fun at United First Financial, its agents, and its clients!!!

After all, the Money Merge Account system, when you boil it all down, is really just a debt payoff and cash flow management tool, that's all. You would think people like JoeTaxpayer feel that everyone who purchases gym memberships or exercise equipment is stupid; after all, they could really lose weight by simply going out for a fast walk or jog, could they not?

Weird.

Regardless, the Money Merge Account is very much alive and well in my corner of our province of Manitoba; we are now up to 93 local clients who have purchased the system since October, 2008! And they love it! One of our customers has already paid off his entire $90,000.00 mortgage, and several others have paid off debt amounts ranging from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands!

If only we were all as smart as JoeTaxpayer thinks he is, we could all pay off out debt on our own, but as my wife likes to say from time to time, it isn't about whether we CAN pay off our debt, but WILL we pay off our debt?

If only we were all as smart as Joe. ;)

As far as mortgagewriter goes - Resorting to the ad hominem attack is a last ditch effort. As the cartoon says, on the internet no one knows if you're a dog. Yet, in Chanson's case, his background is far less meaningful than his writing. After all, anyone can claim any degrees, cars, money in the bank. Yet, when you read his Factorial Math explanation on the Fraud Files site, and follow his well tempered posts on this topic, it's obvious he knows his stuff.

He's one step ahead of me as he posts under his own name. Me, I've built my own reputation, enough so that I'm invited to guest post on financial topics on others' sites and no less than Intuit's TurboTax blog. Whether I am a 48yr old with a BSEE, and MBA who has financial blogging as an odd hobby, or a 12 yr old in my parents' basement is irrelevant, I am not asking to steal your money.

On the other hand, you'll find agents who will do everything then can to suggest their own credibility. Yet, they never seem to be able to answer the hard questions, now, do they?

I've posted on many boards discussing this scam, and always hit that roadblock, the agent who just says "trust me". They offer endless analogies, but I have my own. MMA is like getting mugged, only you don't realize it until a few weeks later.

MW is of to jo'burg and gone for a month. So this is the latest excuse de jour that he has for all this time that he has never posted his numbers that will "prove us wrong", even though the internet is littered with verifiable numbers that shows he's wrong.

He can only attack the messenger, because he has no message whatsoever.

Keep posting your bullsh!t, it continues to demonstrate without a doubt what an absolute criminal you are.

mortgagewriter is doing his best to discredit me, by attacking me personally instead of the content of my posts on this subject.

The difference between us, is that I don't make any money though my efforts to debunk the Money Merge Account or United First Financial. He makes hundreds or thousands of dollars with every MMA sale by himself or one of his recruits.

Further, the glowing "independent" magazine reviews of the MMA are by magazines which are in the business of promoting companies for a fee, or in one case, the owner of the magazine is a UFirst agent. The only large circulation magazine (over 1M subscribers) to publish any review of the MMA is Kiplinger's Personal Finance. The title of their article on UFirst? "Don't Fall for This Mortgage Pitch."

www.kiplinger.com/magazine/archives/2008/05/prepay_mortgage.html

UFirst agents have been discredited in every independent discussion site, all over the Internet. UFirst remains a predatory company that recruits without almost no screening of agent applicants except for their ability to pay to become agents, selling a flawed, inefficient software application that can't beat a simple "send extra income to the highest interest rate debt first" method of acceleration.

Further, you can't even buy the MMA in Alberta right now due to non-compliance with provincial regulations, but nobody is saying which regulations are to blame.

If you want to go $3500 USD deeper in debt for the privilege of using a clunky software app that will cause you to pay more in interest that you could otherwise, go ahead and give mortgagewriter a call.

Except, of course, he hasn't told us his name.

By the way, I'm off to Jo'burg, taking in 10 games, leaving in the in the morning so won't be back online for a month at least. Looking forward to the righteous indignation review when I get back. Lol!!!

Just popped in to say hello. Hi all!

Jordan, and Ken,

FYI, Chansen is a rather a sad little fellow with not much of a life who lives in his parents basement, and seems to have dedicated his life to saving people from themselves. Even UFirst's change of business model to a subscription approach that unsatisfied clients (not many that I can tell) can opt out of at any time seems to have dampened his enthusiasm the same way he appears to dampen his underwear every time someone comes on the forum to support the product.

Turns out he is a bit of an online laughing stock, who many suspect wears a Robin Hood suit (which his mother launders weekly) and runs a virtual little band of Merry Men whose mission (which gets them out of bed every day, apparently) is to decide what's good (Excel spreadsheets and a lot of self control) for people and what's bad for them (like paying money for financial advice) and demonize proponents of the latter in truly laughable ways. Evil King John had nothing on these bad, bad people.

In his time out from Sherwood Forest he plays online war games, and it is rumored that he secretly sells vitamin juice in an MLM organization.

So Jordan, and Take everything Chansen says with a bag of salt - just enjoy the fun and warn others ;)

Interesting thread. Thanks for the links and resources. It's going to take some time to get through them all.

Thanks again.

Cheers.

Jordan.

I have traveled many places around the world: Canada, US, Europe, South American and Australia, just to mention a few. One thing I've realized is that it is best to ask the locals where to best places are to see. Usually they're off the beaten path. I have found some great deal at playa del carmen hotels and at panama city beach. Message me if you have any questions...thanks:hawaii vacations
Have a great day...
