Just remember Wells Fargo IS an American company -- and if you think they are bad CitiFinancial is at least 30% worse.

ok Wells Fargo seems to have just put the icing on the cake now......I have til July left on my contract with them....matures July 8th, 2008.......at a payment of 400$ per month and their people who work there now claim I have 2600$ still owing.......I dont know but if I do the math on 4 x 400$ (benefit of the doubt here) that makes 1600$ not 2600$......guess they are looking for extra 1000$ that is not coming anytime soon. I also just found out that if you request an account statement they do not send them EVER......wierd because if you go their holes in the wall in malls (they claim are offices) they will give them to you........guess where Im off to and possibly may get some sort of resolution for this BS>..........I swear when this car is paid off NEVER again would I ever deal with those crooks......they are nothing but glorified loan sharks.....guess I was the shark bait that day

No creditor is perfect, but Wells Fargo has never done me wrong in the past -- however, I never had an account transfered to them when they bought out Trans Canada.

And as a general rule, I usually do a bureau request every 6 months. I recently mailed away for an Equifax and TransUnion report by mail. I got my Equifax on Friday, but I'm still waiting for TransUnion. It makes me nervous sending away for these things in the mail, especially when TransUnion doesn't request any proof of legitimacy as Equifax does with your drivers license and a utility bill.

the overage is going to the end balance (which is coming very soon by July) ..as for credit seeking went to one place and got my loan through (at that time) Trans Canada which was bought out by Wells Fargo........and I must say they have no clue how to run a business at all.....they lose payments or misdirect payments then call you about them meanwhile I have bank confirmation they are made.....then they call back days later stating they still havent received it....make a trip tp one of their offices and miraculously its found......and they try to charge me interest on a payment made way before due date.......I just dont understand......maybe should order new credit report has been about 7 months since last seen an update........

When you mean your bureau shows that you have poor credit, are you referring to your credit score (FICO)?

If all of your debt has been paid (regardless of their past rating) will automatically start to improve your score. As will your secured credit card and paying your car payments every month.

You say that there is an active card still being used by your ex? As long as that card is in good standing as well, it will also improve your score. If not, well, I think that is obvious.

Have you done much credit seeking (especially when you were looking for your car loan)? Many credit inquiries will lower your score as well.

As far as your car payments, when you make over your payments, is the overage going toward the principal of the vehicle or just coming off next months bill?

my card statement always comes with zero balance and have never paid a cent of interest.......I dont see what the issue is..car is always paid on time and payment is 380+$ but I usually pay 400$ a month (just easier for budgeting)......I dont understand it all.......all collections have been cleared by me of course......not by him however with new news that he has credit card that we had when married still active..........

Any incorrect information? How old is the most recent collection (last activity)? How much are you allowing yourself to be billed on your credit card.

If you have a limit of 200 and the bill comes in at 180 every month it doesn't matter if you pay it in full every month, you still look, to the bureau, as if you are maxxed out as the credit card company reports the billed amount as your current balance. Pay the bill off 5 days before the billing date so the actual bill you receive is $0.00 - or very close to it.

If you're comfortable, where, approximately, is your current score.
