Hi guys; thanks for your support Ray, and speaking of the Dragons Den , I just found a great forum on www.cbc.ca (I think, I googled "dragons den), and it's full of inventors and they're Canadian.

Angella had a great point that I need to be weary of anyone interested in being my partner...I never thought of it that way. Good point, although it can be said with a little more tact and kindness, as your form of speaking is so aggressive and hurtful.

I'd be curious to know how many people here got into their financial desmay by starting their own business, as I did the last time I lived in Canada. If anybody has a story please post it, I'd be interested in hearing your attempted business or invention venture trial and failure.

I will acknowledge a tendency to be overly suspicious. :)

I will stand down, for now.

Easy, easy on the lady please. The forum attracts a lot of scammers but she sure ain't one.

Not the best business plans though.

No, not anger... caution. If I was angry or determined you were a liar, I would have told you that you were a lying skank by now. I haven't. I am, as I said, reserving opinion.

If you are legit, we will have no problems. If you are a scammer, you will need to be smarter than me to operate off this site... and I'm pretty smart.

I have done what I set out to do... made my concerns noted so hopefully anybody considering partnering with you uses as much caution as you, yourself, should use in considering partnering with somebody else who shows up off this or any site, and putting you on notice if you are a scammer that you will be challenged so I'm done with this conversation.

Hey meplus3,

Looking for business partners is not a regular request here. That might be why you're getting an odd reaction.

I applaud you wanting to start a new business. That's the best , if you're up to it, to get in control of your own financial situation.

To be honest, your post is pretty vague as far as what the opportunity is about. You might want to give a hint about what the opportunity is about.

Of course, I would recommend that entering into partnerships should be done with the utmost of due diligence and caution. (As you have learned from your separation from your previous business partner)

Can you give us a basic idea of what your business idea is about?

Hi guys, yes I'm from Scarborough. By the way, has anyone bought a Millionaire life ticket? (winner gets 1 million a year for 25 years)
Nice snow storm out there at least the GO wasn't delayed, no fires or signal problems today, YAHOO !!

Angeelo(I bet that was a typo too), I sense a bit of anger towards me, I don't know what I've said to offend you but I certainly didn't mean to offend you or anyone else. I found this site by sure luck and you and everybody else was very kind and helped me with the collection letter.

Anyway, I'm not really looking for a partner, I just thought I'd throw that out there because , well I don't know why, it just came off my finger tips, it's been on my mind. I guess, I was just wondering if anyone was an unsuccessful entrepeneur like myself. But I'd like to officially detract my statement about looking for a business partner.

I thought this was the General section where you could talk about "things" and make friends. I have a friend I met on the train and we speak almost everyday. I also have a couple of Hockey mom friends and spend an hour a week, during practice talking about custody, alimony, or my lack of both or the married mom's, well, marriage issues. We never talk during the hockey game, of course. My boss and I have some type of friendship , she is a cross between a mother and mentor. She councels me on my situation; children, home, putting myself back together etc...

Anyway, much more than a partner I'd love to make some friends, and have somewhere to go to talk about finances, and whatever.

I think I know why I asked about business partners, because I thought this section is where I'd talk about my thoughts, issues etc..

I promise to look for a business site to talk about business ideas. Once again, I'd like to apologize if I sounded like I was toting a pyramid scheme or something.

I don't care about spelling errors... although it is a little strange that you used the word that way twice in the same post.

But... when people start coming on a site dedicated to those with financial issues looking for business partners and with odd stories and mixed timelines it raises my eyebrow a little.

There are some pretty desperate people who stop by from time to time... and desperate people are often gullible people. That's how advance fee loan scams and lottery scams are so successful. I'm cautious about what I leave go unchallenged here.

Having said that, I'm not prepared... yet... to tell you you're a liar. I'll reserve opinion on that.
