Definitely. If they show no proof, dispute it by all means.

I have been trying to clear up a debt I apparently didn't pay 4 years ago for rogers and in collections for 150 for regular old cable. call rogers customer support for 4 week and they tried to find my purged account and will call back and its been 4 weeks tried numerous times to get a breakdown of why i owe the money to them. The collection agency says they can get info but it will take a month or two. If no one gives me info on the debt then i shouldn't pay it so is there someone i can appeal to, should i get a credit report done and then dispute it with Equifax?
