Hey Colin,
It's surprising to me how many people in Canada haven't heard of Equifax Canada or TransUnion Canada. Especially TransUnion Canada.
That's why I want to talk about them here. Get the word out. Get people to know the two major credit bureaus in Canada. Let people know that they can order their credit reports and that can see exactly what is being reported about them.
you can see your TransUnion credit report by clicking on the TransUnion Canada button at the top right. For a small fee, you'll get your credit report and your credit score. And if your interested, you can even order TransUnion Canada's credit monitoring service.
People of all provinces and territories can order their credit reports online for a small fee, or get them in the mail for FREE. Getting your Equifax and TransUnion credit reports by mail takes about 4 weeks, and you have to give them ID and write them letters. It's pretty cumbersome. But, by law, Equifax and TransUnion must furnish every Canadian with a credit report for FREE once per year.
This is something that people need to talk about and be aware of. Talk with your friends and family about getting your credit reports and getting their credit reports. This is the only way people are going to learn the importance of seeing what is being said about them by the creditors etc.
Getting your credit reports online via TransUnion Canada's and Equifax's website costs about $22.00. That's all it costs to see exactly what is being listed about your by the credit bureaus. If you don't know what is being said about you, you don't know if there are any inaccuracies listed on your report.
I urge you to CHECK OUT YOUR CREDIT REPORT TODAY!
