Canadians - There are four ways to order your credit report.
1) We can order them for you as part of our paid service at no additional charge.
2) We can order them for you for $35.00 and save you all of the hassles. You'll receive these copies by mail.
3) You can mail in for your credit reports for FREE at the addresses listed below. Mail takes 3-4 weeks to receive.
4) You can order your reports FOR A FEE at the credit bureaus' web sites. The Internet report is received instantly. You have to answer some security questions before they are displayed. (Make sure you select PRINTABLE VERSION. This gives us the full details of your credit report.)

INTERESTING NOTE: TransUnion's mailing address information is public information and is available to everyone by checking with the Ministry of Justice. TransUnion is registered in each province as a Credit Reporting Agency and must list this information. TransUnion has threatened to sue Express Credit Repair for using copyright materials from their website which explain to people how to order their credit reports. We feel that it is important to use exactly what is listed on TransUnion's website as a reference to their ordering protocols. We feel that people should be able to receive their credit reports the first time they order it. We have had several clients wait several months for their credit reports by mail from TransUnion. These clients had to order and re-order their credit reports. We're asking TransUnion to give us a straight forward system that everyone can use to get their credit reports the first time every time without the long and unreasonable wait.
Express Credit Repair's research has allowed us discovered that you can receive a copy of your TransUnion credit report in Canada by giving them the following information:
• First, middle, and last name (including Jr., Sr., III)
• Current address
• Date of birth
• Previous addresses in the past two years, if any
• Social Insurance Number (optional)
• Current employer (optional)
• Signature
• Phone number (optional)
After researching appropriate ID's Express Credit Repair has found that TransUnion favors the following types of Identifications:

• Age of Majority/Provincial ID

Notes about ECR's Frustration:
It is ECR's opinion that TransUnion is trying to make it as difficult as possible for you to order your FREE credit reports by mail. The law states that every registered Credit Reporting Agency must provide every Canadian citizen with a free credit report upon request. It is not legislated as to how many hoops that TransUnion or Equifax can make you jump through in order to get your credit reports. (We're currently addressing this problem) Credit Bureaus want you to pay for your credit reports and credit scores online. We encourage you to let your consumer protection branch know what's going on with the status of your trying to get your credit reports.
